Veronica “Ronnie” Rogers, age 68, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, March 5, 2023 UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

Veronica was born on June 3, 1954 to James Foster and Maelee Waddle Foster in Somerset, Kentucky.

She enjoyed readying books, doing puzzles and cooking when she was able.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maelee Foster, brother, Timothy Foster, sisters, Janet Carrol and Linda Foster.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 22 years, Dennis Rogers; brothers, David Foster, Larry Foster, Thomas Foster and Johnny Foster; sisters, Marilyn Foster, Patricia Foster, Carolyn Holloway and Tina (Martin) McGowan; special nieces and nephews, Ryan McGowan, Kendra Honaker, Joshua McGowan; great-nephew, Hezekiah Honaker and a host of friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 6 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 12 P.M. at the funeral home with Chris Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Veronica “Ronnie” Rogers.
