Thomas E. Egleston

Thomas E. Egleston, age 65, of Bronston, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

He was born June 18, 1952 in Middle Town, Ohio the son of the late Oscar “O.H. Pete” Egleston and Fairy Lou Dunn Egleston. Tom was a supervisor for the Warren County Highway Department in Ohio, from where he retired. He enjoyed boating, camping, four wheeling, and spending time with his family and friends at the cabin. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his first wife; Deneane Lea Egleston.

He is survived by his wife; Lois Nevels-Egleston, step-daughters; Tracy (Sherry) Barnhart of Ohio and Whitney (Travis) Edwards of Kentucky, brother; Jeff (Tina) Egleston of Franklin, Ohio, sister; Gail (Benny) Beckett of Franklin, Ohio, two grandchildren; Alexis Bishop and BrantLee Bishop, and a host of nieces, nephews, several brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow visiting hours at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Eric Barnes officiating.

Visitation will be held in Ohio at the Hill Crest Baptist Church at 820 Central Avenue Franklin, Ohio 45005, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Woodhill Cemetery in Franklin, Ohio.
