Sharon McGowan, age 64, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Sharon was born on July 2, 1958 to the late Leerie “Hart” Wallace and Dorthy Jasper Wallace in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, plastic crafts and watching her favorite shows on television. Her passion was working. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Allan McGowan, her daughter, Susan McGowan both of Somerset, Ky; brothers, Hart (Terri) Wallace of Casey County, Ky and Kenny (Karen) Wallace of Science Hill, Ky; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of special friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12 P.M. with Bro. Chuck Woodcock officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sharon McGowan Memorial Fund.
