Ruth Ann Sears

Ruth Ann Sears age 75, of Somerset, Kentucky formerly of White Lily Community, passed from this life Monday, August 3, 2020 at her home. 

Ruth was born May 11, 1945 to the late Harvey Burchfield and Ellie May Sears Burchfield in Colo Community of Pulaski, Kentucky. 

She was a member of Wesley Chapel Baptist Church, enjoyed the outdoors and loved to cook.  

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Ellie Burchfield, daughter, Brenda Sears, sisters, Betty Watson, Juanita West, Lois Meece and Alice Sears.  

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, John Sears, sons, Jerry L. Sears (Mary Cook) of Somerset, Terry W. Sears (Gelinda) of Somerset, brother, Bud Burchfield (Ruth Ella) of Ohio, sister, Helen Meece (David) of Somerset, grandchildren, Melissa Cowan (Willie), Cody Sears (Megan), great-grandchildren, Graysen Cowan and Parker Cowan.  

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Stanley Sears officiating.  

Pallbearers will be Cody Sears, Wayne Sears, Vola Sears, Willie Cowan, Tyler Moschel and Tim Renner. 

Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. 

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ruth Ann Sears
