Ronnie Owens

Ronnie Owens, age 54, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born on October 6, 1964 in Somerset, son of the late Hubert and Cloda Mae Neeley Owens.

Ronnie was a self-employed mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, collecting things and Nascar. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Roy Earl Owens.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Merrick Owens; daughters, Amanda (and Ryan) Muse of Somerset, Trisha Owens (and Nick Claunch) of Somerset, Natasha Owens of the Slate Branch Community, and a stepdaughter, Megan (and Nick) Simpson of Somerset; one sister, Kathy Owens of the Slate Branch Community; one grandson, Oscar Ray Claunch; nieces, Tiffany and Brooke; and nephews, Tyler, Jeremiah and Mason. He is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Melissa Dick of Slate Branch Community.

Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund for Ronnie Owens, C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
