Ronald Lee “Round Man” Rainwater

Ronald Lee “Round Man” Rainwater, age 77, of Nancy, Kentucky passed from Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Ronald was born June 29, 1944 to Clarence Rainwater and Edith Dye Rainwater in Nancy, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith and an avid coon and rabbit hunter. He enjoyed visiting with his coon hunting buddies and watching his beagles run. Ronald liked spending time with Little Man and two special boys, Trenton and Julian.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Edith Rainwater and brother, Don Rainwater. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Winnie Rainwater; sons, Rodney Rainwater (Donnel) of Somerset, Ky; Roger Rainwater (Angie) of Nancy; daughter, Rhonda Lowery (Josh) of Columbus, OH; brother, Kevin Rainwater (Sharon) of Nancy; grandchildren, Allyson Rainwater (Tommy Rought) of Liberty, Ky; Mayson Rainwater of Somerset, Ky; Cody Rainwater of Nancy; Justin Morris-Stanley (Bryant) of Lexington, Ky; and Nikki Fox (Zach Simpson) of Somerset; great-grandchildren, Grayson Simpson; stepgrandchildren, Emily Robertson (Chad) of Somerset; Hanna Cox (P.J.) of Nancy; step great-grandchildren, Claire, Andrew, Jack, Raylen, Bevin and Chsenie.

Pallbearers will be Justin Morris-Stanley, Bryant Morris-Stanley, Cody Rainwater, P.J. Cox, Zach Simpson, Tommy Rought; honorary pallbearers, Phillip McClendon and Mike Stargle.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Donavan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
