Ronald Bailey, age 77, Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

Ronald was born on January 6, 1946 to the late Arthur Bailey and Mary Osborne in Hazard, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith, a Navy Veteran and enjoyed watching UK Basketball, fishing, likes Corvettes and working on them. He was the owner of Cardinal Food Mart in Burnside.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Bailey, brothers, Eugene Bailey, Clifford Bailey, Charles Bailey, sister, Martha Mitchell, stepson, Benny Allen Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his fiancé, Saundra Mays; son, R.D. (Amy) Bailey of Alabama; daughters, LeeAnne (Jaye) Mitchell of Somerset, Ky; Pasha Bailey Burton of Somerset, Ky; stepson, Brian (Stephanie) Mays of Somerset, Ky; brother, James (Brenda) Bailey of Hazard, Ky; grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Trevan, Tiana, Caden, Caila, Raylan, Haley (Jacob), Kinsley, Alycin, Gabbie, Gunner and Brannon.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Teddy Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ronald Bailey.
