Rebecca Lynn Ball

Rebecca Lynn Ball, age 35, of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

She was born on August 8, 1982 in Somerset, the daughter of David Ball and Edna Turner Edwards.

Rebecca was of the Baptist faith and attended Beacon Hill Baptist Church. She loved working in the trees with her step-dad, watching the Ellen Degeneres Show and fishing. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents; Edna Turner (Donnie) Edwards of Nancy, David (Emma) Ball of Eubank, daughters; Destiny Denham of Science Hill and Azlynn Williamson of White Lily, boyfriend; James Lear of Lexington and his three sons, sister; Sarah Ann Gibson of Somerset, step-brothers; Lloyd Edwards of Somerset and Donnie Edwards of Columbia, nieces, Likia Dobbs, Connie Dobbs, Bobbie Dobbs, Shyann Dobbs of Nancy and Shelby Adkins of Monticello. Rebecca is also survived by a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Mae, whom she was expecting at the time of her passing, and a brother; Billy James Burton.

Visitation will be Friday, November 3, 2017 after 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the Rebecca Lynn Ball Memorial Fund, C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home, 2110 W. Hwy. 914, Somerset, KY 42503.
