Ray Huston Meeks

Ray Huston Meeks, age 69, of Somerset, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Feb 3, 2022.

He is survived by his sisters and brothers, Virginia (Ginny) Cox, Vancleave of MS, Juanita Wheeldon (Carlos), Somerset KY, Kenneth Brewster (Jennifer), Somerset, KY, Debbie Price (Ferlin), Somerset, KY, Timmy Hughes (Maria), Bronston, KY, Lee Hughes (Rhonda), Somerset, KY.  His uncle, Nathon Meeks, Somerset, KY and Aunt Lois King, Somerset, KY.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Meeks Hughes and grandparents, H.A. and Ora Bell Meeks.

He was blessed with many nieces and nephews, who loved him very much.  Ray was a wonderful man that loved the Lord, he attended New Life Church of God.  His family and friends were his pride and joy.  In his youth he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his pawpaw. Later in life he was able to travel and enjoy new adventures.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 11 A.M to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. with Bro. Doug Walden officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers Donations can be made at University of Kentucky, Lung Transplant Center.

The family request that masks be required during visitation and funeral service. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ray Houston Meeks.
