Ranoda Mae Blackburn, age 43 of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024.

She was born on January 28, 1980 in Marion, Indiana, daughter of Betty Troxtle Todd and Glen R. Blackburn.

She enjoyed music, painting, and writing. Ranoda loved helping others and never turned away someone in need. She was an animal lover. Her dog “Sampson” was her other half and her bodyguard.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward H. Troxtle, Silvia Mae Troxtle, Glen R. Blackburn and an uncle (Bug) Lloyd J. Troxtle.

She is survived by her grandmother, Edwina Blackburn, parents, Betty Troxtle Todd, and Glen R. Blackburn Jr., stepfather, Jackie C. Todd, stepmother, Lisa Blackburn, former stepfather, Ranney O. Dykes, children: Justin T. Wilson, Ashley N. Blackburn, Joshua R. Blackburn, Jacob N.L. Hart, grandson, Jackson Lee Wilson, sisters: Alisha S. Rice, Crystal S. Franks, Elizabeth Blackburn, Bridget Johnson, Christy Goodwin, brothers: Scott Blackburn, Nicholas Blackburn, Coleman R. Dykes.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 11am-1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. David Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Kidder, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ranoda Mae Blackburn Memorial Fund in C/O of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
