Norman Dale Crowder, age 79, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home.
He was born on July 29, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana, son of the late Julia Crowder.
For thirty-five years , he worked as Head of Security at Oakwood. He was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and watching UK Basketball. He also loved his dog, Cujo and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Crowder.
He is survived by his wife, Jinetha Crowder; two sons, Eric Crowder of Stanford and Nick (and Karen) Crowder of Somerset; two daughters, Michelle Crowder and Jennifer Martinez, both of Somerset; one brother, Jerry (and Pat) Crowder of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Casey Crowder (and David Foster), Leanne Crowder, Kristian Martinez and Cayla Crowder; one great-grandchild, Riley Foster; cousins, Arlene Crowder, Darlene Crowder, Steve Crowder and Connie Duncan; sister in law Sandra (Mike) Hammond; and a host of friends and family.
Visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Butte and Bro. Don Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
