Norma Jean Flynn

Norma Jean Flynn, age 87 of Somerset, Kentucky, was called to the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
She was born on February 23, 1934 in Delta, Kentucky, daughter of the late Silas and Cora Black Keith.
She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved to volunteer her time at Hospice of Lake Cumberland. She was also a very talented quilt maker, she enjoyed playing Bingo, and playing cards with friends. Jean loved her family most of all and enjoyed traveling to Ohio to visit. She was a devout Christian, reading her bible daily.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Lee Flynn; brothers, Robert Keith and Obie Branscum; and a sister, Rosalie Morrow.
She is survived by her sons; Glenn (Katherine) Flynn of Amherst, Ohio and David (Karen) Flynn of Amherst, Ohio; grandchildren; Rachel (Ryan) Ferrante, Pamela (Dylan) Bookman, Andy Flynn, Russell Flynn and David (Jade) Flynn; great-grandchildren, Addison, Zach, Jacob, Emilia and Rowan; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 on Thursday, January 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Bronston with Bro. Adam Evans officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or American Cancer Society. As requested by the family, masks are required to be worn during visitation and the funeral service.

Jean was a wonderful person. She was a friend of my mom and dad for years. I kept up with her after they passed, and I will miss her, but I know she is now in the presence of the Lord.
