Mildred C. Singleton

Mildred C. Singleton, age 73, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home.

Mildred was born August 30, 1948 to Willard Tucker and Opal Foster Tucker in Wayne County, Kentucky.

She attended Bogletown Pentecostal Church of God and she enjoyed fishing, camping, playing the board game “Aggravation”. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Opal Tucker, her husband, Forest Singleton, son, Rodney Keith, brother, Bobby Tucker and sister, Glenna Mae Tucker.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Bonnie (Pete) Russell of Somerset, Ky; Sandra K. (Richard) Helmus of Somerset, Ky; brothers, Junior (Diana) Tucker of McCreary County, Ky; Albert (Carol) Tucker of McCreary County, Kentucky; Clyde (Jane) Tucker of Muncie, IN; Kirby (Liz) Tucker of Monticello, Ky; Leonard (Billie) Tucker of Muncie, IN; Clifford (Dixie) Tucker of Somerset, Ky; sisters, Norma Jean (Amon) Voils of Oneida, TN; Christine Harvey of Lexington, Ky; Hazel (Ricky) Butler of Nicholasville, Ky; Wanda Stepps of Oneida, TN; step daughter, Valarie Singleton of Eubank, Ky; sister-in-law, Cennie Tucker of Monticello, Ky; special cousin, Helen Coffey of McCreary County, Ky; grandchildren, David Chace (Amber) Shadoan, Sosha (Kyle) Klingensmith, Jarrett Keith, Jayden Keith, Kyndel Stringer; along with great-grandchildren, Zoey Sears, Koraline Klingensmith, Kolton Stringer, Haython Stringer and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Donald Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Sloans Valley Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mildred C. Singleton.
