Michael E. Godsey

Michael E. Godsey, age 50, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, June 9, 2023 at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was born on August 1, 1972 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late James and Geraldine Dick Godsey.

Michael was a former coach for the Pulaski Mustangs. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Stephen Godsey.

He is survived by Leslie Potter Godsey whom he married on October 2002; two sons; Dylan (Brittney) Godsey of Columbia, KY and Tanner (Zoe) Godsey of Science Hill; and grandchildren; Abigail Godsey and Colton Godsey.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. John Bates officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carter Kring, Chris Wallace, Greg Stephens, Logan Bates, Paul Withers, Coury Carter and Scott Strunk.
