Mary Elizabeth Allen, age 92, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Mary was born July 13, 1929 to Edward Adams and Alice Silvers Adams in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was of the Jehovah Witness faith and she enjoyed flowers, tending to her garden, visiting with family and friends. She cherished her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice Adams, her husband, Edward Gann Allen, sons, David Allen, Dennis Allen and Roger Allen, brother, Carl Adams, sisters, Lilian Heath, Wanda Burdine, Agnes Sullivan, Mazie Begley and Dorothy Fitzpatrick.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Janice Sewell and Mary Ann (Cecil Jr.) Nevels all of Somerset; grandchildren, Ronnette (Clifford) James, Steven Allen, Krystal Burkett, Clarence Nevels, Krysta Nevels, Mark Allen, Malynda Alexander, Susan Edmon; great-grandchildren, Bethany Young, Knisha Allen, Rylee Childers, Austin and Justin Taylor, Jacob Young; great-great grandchildren, McKenzlee Allen, Isabella Hines, Javonte Allen and Xavier Newell.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 10 to 11 A.M. with a funeral service to begin at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Ronald Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Quinton Cemetery in Bronston, Kentucky. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mary Elizabeth Allen.
