Martin Keith “Marty” Meece

Martin Keith “Marty” Meece, age 47, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

He was born on July 18, 1973 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late Larry and Sandra Casada Meece.

Marty was a member of White Oak Baptist Church, and had worked at Armstrong Flooring for twenty-seven years as a Supervisor. He loved to fish, hunt, and watch sports, especially basketball, with his son Eli. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He will have his two children to cherish his memory, Sarah Elisabeth Meece and Eli Martin Meece. He was a brother to Rick (and Melody) Meece of Nancy, and Emily Meece of Somerset; nieces, Andrea (and Adam) Scales, and Ashley (and Jordan) Hoseclaw; nephews, Alex (and Ashley) Meece, and Ben Worley.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral service to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Reggie Tipton and Bro. Chris Hall officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Eli Meece, Leon McGowan, Ronnie Claiborne, Michael Fox, Jeremy Roberts, Brad Schoolcraft, and Scott Foster.
