Lois E. Mounce

Lois E. Mounce passed from this life on March 29, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after a prolonged illness.

Lois was born on August 1, 1952 in London, KY; the daughter of Virgil and Sue (Creech) Caldwell.

Lois is preceded in death by her father Virgil Caldwell of Somerset, KY. She is survived by her mother Sue (Creech) Caldwell of Somerset, KY, her loving husband of 47 years L.E. Mounce of Somerset, Ky, two sons Josh (Sara) Mounce of Eubank, Ky, and Jake (Katelyn) Mounce of Somerset, KY. She is also survived by three precious grandchildren Aaron Mounce, Luke Mounce, and Madalyn Mounce all of Eubank, KY. Three sisters; Lena Pryor of Monticello, KY, Bernetta (Morris) Walker of Somerset, KY, and Billie (Ray) Claunch of Somerset, KY, as well as two brothers Larry Caldwell of Somerset, KY and Tony (Melissa) Caldwell of Somerset, KY. Lois is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Lois retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital after 37 years of dedicated service. She was a proud member of Clay Hill Baptist Church and had been a member for 47 years. She was a dedicated Sunday school teacher of both adults and children and loved her church and her church family deeply. She was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren who knew her as nanny.

Lois was a one of a kind woman, who will be missed by so many and can never be forgotten.

Bro. Jeff Lockard & Bro. Scott Hughes will be officiating, there will be a drive thru visitation at Clay Hill Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, Thursday, April 2, 2020.
