Leroy Gibson

Leroy Gibson, age 78, of Eubank, Kentucky passed from this life Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his home.

Leroy was born March 22, 1944 to John W. Gibson and Edna Hardwick Gibson in Echo Point, Kentucky.

He enjoyed Gospel singing, preaching and witnessing to others about the Lord. Leroy was a Deacon at Eubank Baptist Church. He loved to spend time on the lake and he cherished his family.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Edna Gibson, brothers, Herbert Gibson and Joseph Gibson, sisters, Alvena Mitchell, Indavada Gibson and Helen Gibson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Sherry Turpin Gibson; son, John Gibson of Richmond, Ky; daughters, Deanna (T.J.) Halcomb of Nancy, Ky; Renea (Anthony) Baugh of Nancy, Ky; sister, Ola Mae Hancock of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren, Amanda Price, Holly Dixon, Alexandria and Tiffany Halcomb, Ashley and TL Brown; 11 great-grandchildren, Haelie, Bransyn, Camdon, Riley, Brooklynn, William, Terissa, Brantley, Bryson, Kaiah, Kaseyn; 2 great-great grandchildren, Addilyn and Kyleigh.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Scott Hughes officiating. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Leroy Gibson.
