Larry V. Meece

Larry V. Meece age, 82 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Larry was born November 5, 1937 to the late Orville Meece and Maedell Baker Meece in Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Larry was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, he retired from Crane Plumbing where he was known as “Yogi”, he enjoyed U.K. Sports, taking care of other people. He especially loved being “Pop” to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandra Casada Meece; and one infant grandson, Owen Meece.

Larry leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons, Rick Meece (Melody) of Nancy; daughter, Emily Meece of Somerset, Marty Meece (Lisa) of Nancy; special cousins, Doris Arnold and  Wayne Meece; grandchildren, Andrea Scales (Adam), Ashley Hoseclaw (Jordan), Alex Meece (Ashley), Ben Worley (Amber), Sarah Meece, Eli Meece; great-grandchildren, Jackson Cooper, Kennedy Seward, Tripp Hoseclaw, Porter Hoseclaw, Ellery Scales, Mallie Kate Hoseclaw, Harrison Meece, Holden Hensen, Callie Worley; and lifelong friends, Doris and Eddie Edwards.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home, with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Gary Phelps officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oak Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
