Jesse C. Wells

Jesse C. Wells, age 73, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, November 3, 2023 at his home.

Jesse was born on March 6, 1950 to the late John Henry Wells and Estelle Bullock Wells in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, making knives, the outdoors and fishing. He was a proud United States Disabled Vietnam Veteran.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, John and Estelle Wells and a sister, Charlotte Sears.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Vesta Wells, his daughters, Katrica Hughes (Robert) of Somerset, Ky and Jessica Slavey (Brian) of Science Hill, Ky; nieces, Rhonda Sears of Somerset, Ky; Jeanetta Burdine (Greg) of McCreary Co., Ky; grandchildren, Chelsea Fore, Pamela Hughes (Shawn Wolfe); great-grandchildren, Bristyl Still, Lovisa Wolfe and Aurora Etheridge Wolfe.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 10am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. David Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
