Jerry “Soup Bean” Douglas Salmons

Jerry “Soup Bean” Douglas Salmons, age 54, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Jerry was born on September 6, 1968 to Jerry Wayne Salmons and Lorretta Sullivan Salmons Haynes in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith and loved to go fishing, playing cards and golfing.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Salmons and Lorretta Haynes; paternal grandmother that raised him, Ruby Whitaker Salmons and a brother, Dallas Wayne Salmons. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters, Jessica Hubbard of Somerset, Ky; Amber Foster of Murray, Ky; brothers, Gary Lee (Shelly) Salmons; Kevin (Amanda) Haynes; JR (Cristy) Haynes all of Somerset, Ky; 1st wife, Tracy Rose, 2nd wife, Carolyn Lawhorn both of Somerset, Ky; grandson, Jeremiah Hubbard; along with a host of friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jerry Douglas Salmons Memorial Fund.  Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Jerry “Soup Bean” Douglas Salmons.
