Jerome Gary Colyer

Jerome Gary Colyer, age 69, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Jerome was born January 20, 1953 to Clara Colyer and Grace Gleason Colyer in Bronston, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed yard work, fishing, outdoors he loved music and playing the guitar and he especially loved his family and spending time with his family.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Grace Colyer, brothers, Harold Colyer, George “Glenn” Colyer, Boyd Colyer and Bill Colyer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Michelle Colyer of OH; brother, David Colyer of Monticello, Ky; sisters, Nelda Murphy of Monticello, Ky and Brenda Murphy of Somerset, Ky; grandson, Michael Alexander Gamboa; along with a host of nieces and nephews and special friend and neighbor, Randy Strunk.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 12 P.M. in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Bronston Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Jerome Gary Colyer.
