Jackey W. Tarter

Jackey W. Tarter age 61 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Mr. Tarter was born on March 1, 1962, in Hamilton, Ohio to the late James Tarter and Jean Roy Tarter. Jackey enjoyed being outdoors, doing mechanic and construction work, and was always busy helping others. He was of the Christian faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Dusten Ray Isbel; and a brother, Jerry Tarter. 

Jackey leaves behind to cherish his memory, fiancé, Arleen “Cookie” Isbel of Somerset; son, Josh Tarter (Steffine Isbel) of Somerset; daughters, Jackie Faye Carrender of Bronston, Mariah Isbel of Dayton, Kentucky, Steffine (Josh) Isbel of Somerset, Tiffany Isbel of Somerset and Ashley Seibert of Ohio; brothers Danny Tarter (Tiffany) of Mississippi and Mike Tarter of Somerset; sisters, Phyllis (Jeff) Kidd of Somerset and Tammy (Morris) Dick of Somerset; special friends, Skip Bell, Donna Bryant, Randy Calhoun, and Junior Keith; Along with numerous grandchildren and a host of friends and family. 

Visitation for Mr. Tarter will be Friday, November 17, 2023 from 5-6 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 6 P.M. with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating.
