Homer “Rudy” Daniels

Homer “Rudy” Daniels age 61, of Monticello, Kentucky passed from this life Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Rudy was born January 28, 1959 to the late Lester Daniels and Eve Huckaby Daniels in Albany, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith, he married his wife, Shirley on October 2, 1976 in Wayne County, Ky. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, horse back riding, and racing cars.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tommy Daniels, Ricky Daniels, Campbell Daniels, sister-in-law, Lisa Daniels, grandchildren, Alexandria Welch, Andrew Welch, Paul Welch, Christopher Ray Welch Jr., and Alexia Welch.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Marie Choate Daniels, son, Homer Daniels Jr., daughters, Betsy Welch, brothers, Dale Daniels, Darrell Daniels, sisters, Frances Hoskins, Susie Shelton, grandchildren, Homer Daniels III, Zachary Welch all of Monticello, Ky and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Smedley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Homer Daniels III, Zachary Welch, Douglas Daniels, Josh Daniels, David Hoskins, Bryan Daniels, Charles Daniels Jr. and Noel Sexton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Homer Daniels Memorial Fund.

Burial will be in the Criswell Cemetery in Wayne County, Ky.
