Helen Kathleen Stigall age 89, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Friday, October 23, 2020 at Rockcastle Health and Rehab.

Helen was born September 8, 1931 to the late William Poynter and Losie DeBoard Poynter in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith and loved to go to Church, tend her garden, and was a great cook.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Losie Poynter, her husband, Dennis “Buster” Stigall, daughter, Emma Mae Stephens, brothers, Willie Poynter, Dewey Poynter, sisters, Jane VanHook, Mary Hudson, Call Ann Poynter and Maggie Brown.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Dennis Ray Stigall (Wanda Kay) of Somerset, Jimmy Lee Stigall (Vickie) of Somerset, daughter, Darla Jones (Paul) of Somerset, brother, Everett Poynter (Judy) of Somerset, sister, Hazel Head (Harry) of Somerset, grandchildren, Kevin and Joy Stigall, Heather and Gary Warrick, Tamara and Josh Connell, Stephen Miller, Bruce Bates, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, October 26, 2020 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Jesse McCoy officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
