Ernie Foster

Ernie Foster, age 82, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Ernie was born September 21, 1939 to Gilbert Foster and Clara Bell Foster in Kidds Crossing in Wayne County, Kentucky.

He was a roofer of 60 years where he and his brother, Jerry Foster owned and operated Foster’s Roofing Co. where he retired. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Denham Street Baptist Church.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Clara Foster, his son, Michael Foster, sister-in-law, Suzie Foster.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife whom he married in 1964, Mary Stevens Foster, children, Lisa (Bobby) Randolph and Debbie Foster all of Somerset, Ky; Tim Foster, Joey Foster, Jackie Foster and Beverly Foster; brothers, Kurt (Rosie) Foster of Phoenix, AR; Bruce (Carolyn) Foster of Somerset, Ky and Jerry Foster also of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren, Alicia Joseph, Randy Foster, Bobby Randolph, Brittany Goff, Kimberly Goff, Eric Randolph; along with a slew of great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 12:30 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Raymond Ridener officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Ernie Foster.
