Dorothy E. Roney

Dorothy E. Roney age 82 of Somerset, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and savior on Friday, August 16, 2019 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehab.
Dorothy was born November 28, 1936 to the late Gennes D. Collins and Georgia E. Hail Tuggle in Somerset, Kentucky.
She married her loving husband Jack Roney on April 5, 1973 in Ringgold, Georgia. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, she was co-owner and operator of Showcase Trophies, Roney Park, and served since 1982 to 2014 along-side her husband with NSA Softball. Dorothy loved to travel, but most of all loved her grand kids, her great grand kids, family and loved spending time with them. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Gary Wesley; and brother, Allen Collins.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Jack Roney; her sons, Glenn Wesley (Becky) of Danville, Ky; stepson, Robert Roney (Anola) of Eubank, Ky; daughters, Cyndi Wheeler ( Bill) of Somerset; Tami Deaton (Bill) of Eubank; step daughter, Sandra Lowery of Harrodsburg, Ky; sister, Judy Ard (Gene) of Somerset; daughter in law, Jenna Walker; special niece, Donna Wesley; grandchildren, Nathan Wesley; Jonathan Wesley (Christy); Dusty Wesley (Monica); Jamie Godby (Chris); Jessica Wheeler; Joshua Wheeler (Amy); Heidi Bowling (Matt); Matthew Hughes; Derek Lowery; step grandchildren, Holly Kisamore; Spring Freeman; great grandchildren, Alexis Wesley; Chandler Godby; Boone Godby; Hadley Godby; Alexis Paige Wesley; Connor Wesley; Lucas Scott Wesley; Beckham Wesley; Ava Wheeler; Samuel Wheeler; Sophia Bowling; Sadie Bowling; Ethan Hughes; and Justin Lowery. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2019 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffin and Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Wesley, Jonathan Wesley, Dusty Wesley, Joshua Wheeler, Matt Bowling, and Chris Godby.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
