Doris Jean Troxtell, age 83, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home.

Doris was born March 20, 1939 to Gola Troxtell and Sarah Morrow Nicholas in Kidder Community of Wayne County, Kentucky.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and she enjoyed gardening, working in her flower bed, going to the flea market, sewing, spending time with her grandkids and loved listening to Blue Grass music.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Gola Troxtell and Sarah Nicholas, husband, Lathene Troxtell, one brother, Roger Nicholas and 1 granddaughter, Adrain Troxtell.

Doris leaves behind to cherish her memory, her 2 daughters, Penny Ritchie of Somerset; Dixie (Dennis) Billmaier of MI; 3 sons, David Troxtell (Beckie Cox) of CA;  Jack Troxtell of Bronston; Jeff (Kelly) Troxtell of Bronston; grandchildren, Amanda Ritchie (Nathan Irvine) of Lexington, Ky; Rosa Goodman on Somerset, Ky; Jessica Troxtell of Somerset, Ky, Chris Troxtell of Somerset, Ky; Shawn Troxtell of Somerset, Ky; Melissa Billmaier of OH; Allison (Gage) Hunter of WI; Shelbie (Jacob) Sammons of Bronston; Matthew Troxtell of Bronston; Tiffany and Derek Troxtell of FL; great-grandchildren, Morgan Ritchie, Ben Goodman, Ian Billmaier, Henley Billmaier, Tessa Hunter, Mason Troxtell, Trinity Troxtell, Levi Sammons; 2 sisters, Betty (Frazier) Reagan of TN; Brenda (Richard) Keith of Bronston; along with 1 brother, Hank Nicholas.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Hollars Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Doris Jean Troxtell.
