Donnie F. Burton age 74, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

Donnie was born on January 26, 1950 to the late Oscar Bray and Josephine Hargis Bray in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed shopping, yard sales, spending time driving around with her sister whom was her best friend. She enjoyed attending her flower garden and her fur babies “Coby” and “Little Bit” and “Blackie”.

Donnie was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Josephine Bray, her husband, Delbert Gholson, son, Jerry Gholson, brothers, William and Wesley Bray, sister, Kathy Gibson along with 3 infant siblings.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Carolyn and Barbara Gholson, brother, Ronnie Bray, sisters, Vona Stewart, Wanda Ridner, Bonnie Davis, Peggy Simpson, Linda Acton; along with 4 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5-8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 1pm at the funeral home with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating.  Burial will follow Morrow Cemetery in Jabez, Kentucky.
