Dennis Eugene Pitman, age 55, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home.

Dennis was born on December 31, 1967 to the late Robert Eugene and Linda Ruth Pitman in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle. He was a truck driver and enjoyed fishing, music, loved the Lord and spending time with his family.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Linda Ruth Pitman, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Pauline Roberts; paternal grandparents, Eli and Dora Pitman; sister-in-law, Cindy Pitman and great-niece, Lennox Pitman.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Seth Stevens of Somerset, Ky; fiancé, Shelvia Waddle; brothers, Robert Pitman Jr. of Pikeville, Ky; Paul Pitman of Somerset, Ky; sisters, Dorinda (Benny) Cooper, Missy (Larry) Blevins, nieces, Miranda, Linda, Shyla, Savannah, Kelsie, Brianna; nephews, Benjamin, Joshua, Robert, Gunner and Tyler; very special life long friend, Lanis Cooper; along with a host of friends and family members.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 12 to 3 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 3 P.M with Bro. Raymond Ridner and Bro. Lanis Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Dennis Eugene Pitman.
