DeForest Croix T. Miller II

DeForest Croix T. Miller II, age 75, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

DeForest was born on March 19, 1947 to DeForest C.T. Miller I and Beatrice Eleanore Bennett Miller in Paterson, New Jersey.

He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, President of Home Builders Association, master Plumber, past deacon, member of Boy Scouts of America Troop #727, counselor for Reformers. He enjoyed building and working with wood and sending out prayer cards. Most of all he cherished his family and grandchildren.

DeForest was preceded in death by his parents, DeForest I and Beatrice Miller, brother, Randall Miller, sister, Mary Ellen LeDuc.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years, Patricia Miller, son, Ryan P. (Amberley) Miller of Lexington, Ky; stepchildren, Jonathan (Amy) Bell of Nashville, TN; grandson, Xavier Miller; step-grandchildren, Samuel Bell, Jezreel Bell, Daniel Bell, Ezekiel Bell; special niece, Robin (Matt) Panzano; along with his fur baby, “Kasper Poo”.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 12 to 2 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2 P.M. with Bro. Dan Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons Bible Plan.

Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post 38.
