Deborah “Debbie” Meeks

Deborah “Debbie” Meeks, age 65 of Somerset passed from this life on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. Debbie was born on February 19, 1956 to the late William Joseph and Verda Mae Smith Kelley in Somerset, Kentucky. Debbie enjoyed doing crafts (especially crocheting), baking, cooking and singing. She also loved traveling to the Smoky Mountains, and listening to King of Kings Radio. Debbie attended the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.

Mrs. Meeks is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ronnie Lee Meeks; son, Jason Meeks; brother, Pat Kelley; and a sister, Sally Haynes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband, Jarad Campbell of Somerset; stepson, Joseph Meeks (Mindy) of Somerset; stepson, Tru Campbell; sisters, Carol Miller of California and Becky Boyd of Somerset; grandchildren, Zach, Jacob, Emily, Amery, Nevaeh, Serenity and Myla. Along with a host of other friends and family members.

Visitation for Mrs. Meeks will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Bell officiating. Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Along with flowers, expression of sympathy may be made to the Gideon Bible Memorial Plan.
