Deanna Benefiel Chaney

Deanna Benefiel Chaney, age 42, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on July 21, 1976 in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of Stella Marie Brickens Benefiel and the late Larry Thomas Benefiel, Sr.

Deanna worked for the Unites States Postal Service. She enjoyed arts and crafts, loved to go hiking and rescue animals for the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Most of all, Deanna loved her grandbabies and spending time with them. She will be missed by so many people who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Thomas Benefiel, Sr., her granddaughter, Kyleigh Eileen Hobbs and her grandson, Zaiden Hobbs.

She is survived by her fiance, Derrell Collett of Eubank; two daughters, Tiffany Wright of Russell Springs and Taylor Benefiel Hobbs of Somerset; one son, Elijah Chaney of Eubank; brother Larry Benefiel, Jr. of Pikeville; two sisters, Deborah Benefiel of Pendleton, Indiana and Dawn Benefiel Amick (and Tim) of Nineveh, Indiana; two grandsons, Jaxon Johnson and Camden Johnson both of Nancy. She is also survived by lots of nieces and nephews, her extended work family at Eubank Post Office as well as the ones at the Pulaski County Humane Society and many friends.

Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Moore officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family will requests that donations be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Deanna Benefiel Chaney.
