Daisy Marie Dunagan Barker

Mrs. Daisy Marie Dunagan Barker,age 94 of Huntsville, Alabama and formerly of the Slate Branch Community, passed away Sunday Oct. 21, 2018.  She was born on Nov. 27, 1923 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Tera Eulon and Ona Eastham Dunagan.

She was a housewife and a retired Cosmetologist, a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church of New Market, Alabama, and a former Charter Member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church in Somerset.

She is survived by one son, Gary Ronald Barker and daughter-in-law Judy Carol Garland Barker; one brother, Denny Eugene (Gene) Dunagan; four nieces, Tera Lou Dunagan Hamilton, Sara Lynn Dunagan Crabb, Debra Jean Dunagan Allen; Kathy Lynette Dunagan Vita; two nephews Kippy Wayne Dunagan, and Donald Sherman Irvine; eight great-nieces and seven great-nephews.  She is also survived by her beloved fur babies Micky and Molly.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Vernon Barker, two brothers Robert Tera Dunagan (Bob), and Kenneth Dunagan and one sister Betty Lou Dunagan Irvine.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 25, 2018 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama with a funeral service to be held at 12:00 p.m. at the Berryhill Funeral Home.

Another visitation will also be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with interment to be on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
