Clyde Troxell, Jr. age 64 years and 8 months, passed from this life on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Jean Waddle Hospice Unit.

Clyde was born on September 20, 1959 in Monticello, Kentucky, son of the late Clyde Sr. and Ruth Troxell.

He previously worked for Lee’s Airplane and boat repair. He was a lifelong mechanic and in his earlier years did farming. He loved to play music, play bass, and was a member of The Kentucky Gold Band.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Lewis Troxell; sister, Judy Thomas; brother-in-law, Larry Coffey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lowell (Peanut) and Lela Daulton.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 39 years, Rita Faye (Daulton) Troxell; son, Toby (Michele) Troxell of Somerset; grandchildren, Cadence Groce and Alex Groce of Somerset; brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Troxell, and Gale (Kendra) Troxell of Monticello; sisters, Debra Posey of Knoxville, Floralice Coffey of Monticello, Ruth Anna (James) Wollenburg of Nashville; Peggy Holden (Larry); brothers-in-law, Tim (Patti) Daulton and Travis (Kim) Daulton all of Somerset, Michael (Sandy) Daulton of Science Hill and Kathey (Bill) Irvin of Crab Orchard; along with several nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Rick Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Gaines Cemetery in Nancy. Pallbearers will be Toby Troxell, Satch Sargent, Daniel Troxell, Travis Coffey, Travis Daulton, Tim Daulton and Leland Stevenson.
