Clara Valentour

Clara Valentour age 89, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, July 30th, 2023 at her home.
Clara was born on June 19, 1934 to the late Carl Helton and Irene Hair Helton in Sloans Valley, Kentucky.
She was a member of Tateville Baptist Church. She enjoyed raising goats and tending to her garden. She loved to cook for family and was known for her blackberry cobbler and apple pies.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, George Tilman Valentour, her parents, Carl and Irene Helton, brother, Ed Helton, sister, Mary Lou New and granddaughter, Jessica Richardson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Janet Valentour (Rosston) of Burnside, Ky; grandson, George Valentour, great-grandchildren, Tyler Valentour, Skyler Richardson, Khloe Colyer, Aubrey Colyer and great-great granddaughter, Amara Valentour.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 from 5-8 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home with Bro. Joseph Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Valentour Cemetery.
