Christine Ashbrook

Christine Ashbrook, age 91 of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on July 18, 1930 in Dorena, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elvis and Ila Wilson Scales. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. She was a former hairdresser and had worked in the jewelry department at Belk’s before retiring. She enjoyed tending to her garden and decorating, but most of all, she loved and cherished her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Ashbrook; daughter, Sharon Kay Ashbrook; brothers, Verlon Scales and Hearld Scales; sister, Imogene Henley; son-in-law, Daniel Wilson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved family members.

She is survived by a daughter, Shari Lynn Wilson of Somerset; and a brother, Jason Lee (Sue) Scales of Ingle, KY.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. James Floyd officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to White Oak Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
