Billie Mary Mae Bray, age 64 of the Mt Victory Community, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at her home.

She was born on July 29, 1959 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Jesse and Emmie Ridner Smith. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In the summer of 1985, she was baptized her in her home by Bro. Claude Munsey. She made a profession, that she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Mary devoted her life to her husband and fur babies, Kay-Kay the cat and her dogs Trixie, Spike, and Buddy the dog. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Mary leaves a host of family and friends to morn her loss.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Smith and Gathaleen Smith; brothers, Roy Lee Taylor, Herbert Taylor, Charles Taylor, Elvis Smith and Ernie Smith; and 2 nieces, Danielle Robertson and Jessica Burdine.

She is survived by her husband, Orrin Eugene Bray, whom she married on July 15, 1983 at Denham Street Baptist Church; a brother, Jesse Smith, Jr. of Somerset; 3 sisters, Margie (Kirby) Helton of Deland, Florida, Lillie Williamson of Mt Enterprise, TX and Linda (Danny) Robertson of Gainesville, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 11:000 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner and Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mt Victory Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Derick Smith, Joe Taylor, Johnny Taylor, Jackie Taylor, Eugene Bray and Luke Haynes.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to her Memorial Fund.
