Alice Dean Sears

Alice Dean Sears, age 79 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

She was born on July 7, 1940 in Colo, Kentucky, daughter of the late Harvey Burchfield and Allie Mae Sears. She was a homemaker and attended Wesley’s Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and loved her family. Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren. Alice was known for always having a smile on her face and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Cecil James Sears, three sisters; Betty (Otis) Watson, Juanita (Joe) West, Lois (Ed) Meece, and a great-grandson, Clayton Anthony Noel.

She is survived by two sons; Vola Sears and Bobby Sears, both of White Lily, five daughters; Margaret Bautista, Ruby (Allen) Meece, Mary Sears, Martha Sears and Phyllis Sears, all of White Lily, one brother; Bud (Ruth) Burchfield of Ohio, two sisters; Ann (John) Sears and Helen (David) Meece, both of White Lily, grandchildren; Amanda, Jamie, Junior, Shane, Jessica, Scott, Johnathon, Ricky, Kathy, Hannah, Rachael, Lena and Bobby, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Isaiah Super officiating. Burial will be in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery.
