Aldo A. Barnes Rodriguez, Sr

Aldo R. Barnes, SR, age 90, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Tuesday, February 9, 2024.

Aldo was born on July 1, 1933 to Raphael Barnes and Aurelina (Rodriguez) in Caonao, Cuba.

He was a proud butcher by trade. He enjoyed baseball, cooking, serving others, and spending time with his friends and family.  Aldo was a member of the Outreach for Jesus Catalino Church. Most of all he cherished his faith of God.  He was of the Evangelic Christian Religion.

Aldo was preceded in death by his father, Raphael Barnes, and mother Aurelina Rodriguez; brother, Asnaldo Barnes, sisters, Amelia Barnes and Alice Barnes.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years, Tina (Jamide); his sons, Juan Carlos Barnes of Cuba, Aldo Barnes Jr. and beloved daughter-in-law Belia; sisters Ana Barnes, and Haydee Barnes of Cuba; grandson Ismael Barnes; granddaughter Vivi Barnes; and adopted daughter Yanice Barnes.

He will be sadly missed by all that knew Him.

Visitation services will be at Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, KY on Monday, February 12, 2024 from 5-8pm with Funeral Service at 7pm. Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10am.
