Cheryl Lynne (Curry) Adams-Stephens

Monday, December 9th, 2019 – 7:00 P.M.

Cheryl Stephens, age 57, of Somerset, KY was greeted by her heavenly father on December 6th, 2019 while surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Cheryl was born November 5th, 1962 in Monticello, KY to the late William “Tom” and Norma Curry. She was a charismatic entrepreneur, starting with a small clothing store in Monticello, KY and building it into the largest Bridal/Prom business in South Central Kentucky. As the owner/operator of Bridal World in Somerset, KY for over 30 years, she touched thousands of lives and prided herself on “Making Dreams Come True” for every customer. Through her career in the Bridal/Prom Industry, she was able to branch out and designed prom and pageant dresses for industry-leading companies that were distributed and worn across the globe. She also was a coach and mentor to many young women that participated in Local and National Pageant Competitions.

Above all, Cheryl was a loving Mother, Wife, and Grandmother. She put her family first and was an inspirational light to all the lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Stephens; two sons, Jacob (Linh) Adams of Austin, TX, and Blake (Kaylee) Adams of Richmond, KY; two step-daughters, Erin (Russ) Grey of Louisville, KY, and Laura (Lee) Gadberry of Russell Springs, KY; one sister, Kelly (Bruce) Leigh; one brother, David Curry; along with three nephews and one niece. She was also a loving new Grandmother to Mila Monroe Adams.

The visitation and funeral will be at Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, KY on Monday December 9th, 2019.  Family visitation will start at 3:00pm with friends starting at 4:00pm.

Funeral will follow that night at 7:00pm.  Graveside Service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday December 10th, 2019 at Southern Oaks Cemetery.
