Vona Evelyn Stewart, age 85, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on April 16, 2024. She was born on October 7, 1938 to the late Oscar Bray and Josephine Hargis Bray in Drum, Kentucky.

She was a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with family.

Vona was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Jearl Bray, Wesley Bray, Rogerdale Bray, Jimmy Wayne Bray, sisters: Betty Jane Bray, Kathy Gibson, Donnie Faye Burton and granddaughter, Kimberly Stewart.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 67 of years Bobby Stewart, her children: Darrell Stewart (Donna) of Somerset, Ky; Diana and Shane Davis of Monticello, Ky; Karen and Jim Souva of Somerset, Ky; sisters: Wanda Ridner, Linda Acton, Peggy Simpson all of Somerset, Ky and Bonnie Davis of Lancaster, Ky; brother, Ronnie Bray also of Somerset; grandchildren: Lola Bland, Waylon Stewart, Josh and Ashley Stewart, Jamie and Julie McQueen, Shawna McQueen and Chris Booth, Stephanie McQueen, Nikki and Michael Ponder, Kayla and Denzil Stephens, Jessica Carter and Cody Graves; 55 grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and special sister in law more like a sister, Janet Baker and special nurse, Nancy Smith.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will follow in White Lily Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Vona Evelyn Stewart.
