David Wood

David Wood, age 60, of Monticello, KY passed away from this life on March 10, 2024.
David was born December 20, 1963, in Monticello, KY to Marvin Wood and Iva Louise (Casada) Nevels.
He enjoyed riding his bicycle and visiting his neighbors. He loved taking his morning walks and hiking with his brother looking at waterfalls and arches. He was loved by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory his brothers J R Wood (April) of Nancy, KY and Mervin Wood of Monticello, KY; and a special nephew Mervin Cody Wood Jr of Louisville, KY.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation service will be at the New Salem Baptist Church, Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 1 PM.
Funeral service will be at the New Salem Baptist Church, Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at 2 PM.
Burial will be at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Wayne Co. KY.
Officiant will be Bro. Keith McKim.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the David Wood Memorial Fund c/o Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
