John Daniel Wells

John Daniel Wells, age 79, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away from this life on Friday, February 23rd, 2024.
John was born November 5th, 1944, in Mt. Victory, KY to the late Jesse and Audrey (Sears) Wells.
John enjoyed going to the backwoods, singing Gospel music and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Audrey Wells; son John David Wells; brother Kenneth Sears, Charles Wells, Sherman Dean Wells, JD Wells; and a granddaughter Charlotte Wells.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory his spouse of 36 years, Debra D. (McMullin) Wells; sons Kenneth Wells, and Eli Wells; daughters Rosa Wells, Kim Wesley, Rebecca Burton all of Somerset; sisters Sheila Powell of Eubank, Katherine Glover also of Eubank, Sharon Gilreath of Florida; grandsons Triston Burton, Austin Chaz & Zack Simpson; granddaughters Abigail Wesley and Amelia Orto; honorary grandsons Richard Price and Max Burton.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation service will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11am in the Chapel at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a Funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eli Wells, Kenneth Wells, Richard Price, Tristan Burton, Waylon Burton, and Sherman A. Price.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the John Daniel Wells Memorial Fund.
