Mary Lou Scalf

Mary Lou Scalf, age 92 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on January 29, 2024 at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born on November 11, 1931 in Allen, Kentucky, daughter of the late Con and Rebecca Watson Dials. She enjoyed going on vacations with her family, sewing and playing piano. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of others. Most of all, she loved and cherished her family. Mary will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oll Ray Scalf; brothers, Egar, Randall, Donald and Con Jr. Dials.

She is survived by her son, James and daughter-in-law Brenda Scalf of Versailles, Kentucky; daughter, Lisa Scalf of Bradenton, Florida; two grandchildren, David Scalf and Ashley Scalf and two great-grandchildren, Carson Ray and Eleanor Rose.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
