Gary W. Godby age 63, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Gary was born on December 3, 1960 to Roscoe Godby Sr. and Christine Ramsey Godby in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was a member of People’s Baptist Church of Cincinnati, Ohio. He enjoyed life to it’s fullest and lived it the way he wanted. He loved spending time with his special friend.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Godby, brother, Ricky Lee Godby.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Christine Godby, his brothers, Terry Ramsey (Vickey) of Somerset, Ky; Roscoe Godby Jr. of Louisville, Ky; along with his special friend, Brenda Worley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11am -1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. David Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gary W. Godby Memorial Fund.
