Tammy Lee Calhoun

Tammy Lee Calhoun, age 58 of Somerset, Kentucky, was born on October 5, 1965. She fought the battle of cancer so hard until she left this life on December 10, 2023. She is now walking the streets of gold.

She was a homemaker and attended Gospel Tabernacle Church. Tammy liked working in the yard, listen to Loretta Lynn, singing karaoke and coloring. Most of all she loved her family, her children and grandchildren.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Calhoun; mother, Mary Crawford; brother, James Calhoun and a stepson, Dylan Hislope.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her fiancé of 17 years, Kenneth Hislope; her children, Robert Welsey (Jackie), Danielle Calhoun, Steven Glover (Ashlee), Roy “Hoopie” Glover (Savina), Kenny Hislope and Marie Hendrix (Drew); her grandchildren, Hayden, Hailey, Allie (Isaiah), Taylor (Johnny), Riley, Hunter and Rhian and a great-grandbaby on the way. Brothers and sisters, Judy Bell (Pogo), Janice Allen, Thomas (Violet) Calhoun, Tony “Bones” Owens (Emma), Jerry Owens (Kendra), Jacob Owens (Angie), Lucky Owens (Dawn), Cleo, Dorothy Jo, Vanessa Calhoun and Autumn Loveless. Nieces and nephews, Baby Tony, Bub, Binkie, Lola, Barbara, Jimmy, Christopher, Ashley, Harley, Daulton, Morgan, Nichole and many more. 28 great-nieces and nephews, 33 great-great- nieces and nephews, 3 special friends, Shirley, Tammy, and Robin.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Tammy Lee Calhoun.
