Vickie Ridner Branscum

Vickie Ridner Branscum, age 61 of Monticello, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home.

She was born on October 16, 1962 in McCrery County, Kentucky, the daughter of Peggy Jones Lair and the late Earnest Ridner.

She worked at Hope Center in Monticello and was a member of Pleasant Knob Baptist Church in McCreary County. Vickie enjoyed quilting, fishing, crafts, gardening and playing bingo. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earnest Ridner; stepfather, Jimmy Lair; and a brother, Bradley Ridner.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy Lair of Monticello; her sons, Chris (Jenny) Barnett, Earnest (Holly) Brooks and Kayden Brooks all of Monticello; daughters, Kimberly Schrock of Oneida, TN and Ashley (Brandon) McClure of Monticello; brothers, Gary Ridner of McCreary County and Brian Meadows of Somerset; sister, Sheila Ridner of Monticello, 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Pleasant Knob Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the church with Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Knob Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Memorial Fund.
