Timmy Ray Strunk

Timmy Ray Strunk, age 56, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, August 18, 2023.

Timmy was born on January 26, 1967 to Carroll Strunk and Joyce Dean Sumner Strunk Parke in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley especially with his brother, camping, boating and time on the lake. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, also very proud of his son’s career with East Kentucky Power Cooperative. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family. He married his loving wife, Karen on June 14, 1986 at Beacon Hill Baptist Church.

Timmy and his wife both passed from this world together doing something they loved, he was also preceded in death by his father, Carroll Strunk and his stepfather, Clifford Parke.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Joyce Parke of Somerset, Ky; his son, Cody Strunk (Bobbi Jo) of Richmond, Ky; brother, Eddie Strunk (Shovan) of Somerset, Ky; like a son, Josh Brake (Brandi) of Eubank, Ky; nephew, Keagan Strunk; granddaughters, Caitlin Strunk and Chloe Strunk; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at 5pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 11am with Bro. Clyde Strunk and Bro. Ron Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Timmy Ray Strunk Memorial Fund.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard Post 38.
