Peggy Lee Jones Haynes

The world lost a great mother, granny and friend… Peggy Lee Jones Haynes, of the Oak Hill Community, departed from this life and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 08, 2023.

She was born on November 13, 1951, to the late Willard David and Willa Dean Tucker Jones of Somerset. She loved her family, flowers and sewing and she was the epitome of love.

Besides her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Austin “Pup” Haynes, whom she married on March 5, 1971, and her very special daughter Nancy Phelps.

Peggy is survived by two sons, Eddie (Roben) Haynes and Greg (Angie) Haynes; six grandsons, Riley, Raymond, Robert Baily, Elijah and Jonathan Haynes; brother, Johnathan David (Connie) Jones; along with a host of special friends and family.

Visitation for Mrs. Haynes will be Monday July 10, 2023 from 11-1 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday July 10, 2023 at 1 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie West officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
